Barbara Kennedy spent several years at New York Medical College, at the Westchester Medical Center, in the Graduate School of Health Sciences (Master of Public Health (MPH) in Behavioral Science), while creating preventive programs for organizations and community partnerships. Kennedy then spent several years in the culturally rich and diverse population of the southwest United States (Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Arizona State University’s School of Public Programs), trained with the AZ Attorney General's office in mediation, worked as a mental health clinician, and wrote books.
