A fun and practical approach to an age old problem!

Pedace is edgy, funny and refreshing. You don’t need a weight guru to help you lose. You just need to get to it. Do more of the right things and have fun with it. I liked her take on the word “diet.” The first three letters spell “die.” Her answer, a diet should be called a “livet.” How clever is that? She has a message for the modern world. “We are fat because we are lazy.” She tackles the forces that dominant our ability to lose weight and attacks them one by one. She reminds you how big the diet and weight loss business is, its influence over our habits may not rally be understood by most Americans, We are still fat as a country. How much help do we need to lose weight? Shouldn’t we take more control?

You will love her take offs on traditional dieting and why they just don’t work.  Don’t let this book fool you. It isn’t just fun and games. She has summaries at the end of each chapter and reprogramming activities that will help you achieve your goals. There are a lot of meat and potatoes in this book, not just funny fluff. Her mix of solid facts, re-programming tips and humor are fabulous. Did you know that the modern world is cranky, that the cavemen did a lot of running and those habits, like hearts are breakable?

Promote Your Book

She talks about how advertising has affected our buying decisions.

She teaches you about your BMI, calories, the food pyramid (old and new. She cleverly tests you and then gives you easy ways to measure food by using the palm of your hand , or using various size balls (if you are a sports fan) to get the point on portion control. She reminds us of how toxic many foods and ingredients are and asks us: “why we eat?”  I enjoyed the mind tease with the “Guess the Food” game. It was a great refresher on the junk that is in foods. She lists the ingredients and you guess what the product is. I couldn’t get half of them. Pedace offers realistic conversation about love and hate. Did you know that candy bars insult you and cookies stalk you? Our relationships with food come out of the closet. This is a common sense, fun approach to better health just as she promises. You will learn, laugh and love yourself a little more. I received a complimentary review copy.
