I don't know of any other poet that is as upfront with his words as Michael Cervin!  He is not one that will be offended if  you "don't like it" or if you get something totally difference from the piece than was intended by him.  In fact, after reading the introduction of "Generous Fiction" I was clear that I was on my own and he wasn't

This book is unique.  After each piece of poetry Cervin explains what he was doing, thinking, or being at the time he wrote it.  I like that.  

I read a lot of poetry and I have to say this is one book that ranks on the top of the list for me.  Cervin writes from outside the box - that's my kind of poet!
