By Mathew Dickerson
It’s like reading the 10 Commandments for small businesses and business owners.
52 rules useful for small businesses and for many other projects as well!
Mathew Dickerson writes a personal, useful guide for every small business owner. It can help you in your personal life as well.
We all need to be reminded to keep our objectives simple and to the point.
He takes out the corporate rhetoric, drama that many business authors write about. It doesn't have to be complicated.
I liked his direct approach. It is useful for a reader new to business, one contemplating opening a small business and yes, even the corporate types who, like "The Undercover Boss", can learn something about why customers buy -or don't buy--from their company.
He approaches his rules in a practical, humorous manner.
He gets the job done...53, not 52 rules in a concise and helpful way.
I like his "undersell and over deliver approach." It is what all small business is about.
That personal service served up in the entrepreneur's individualized manner, with every sale and every contact being important.
Dickerson focuses on excellence and attitude, not adequacy. He cuts through the mustard, gets to the point and can "re-tool" your business with the timeless concepts that breed success. It reminds me to go back to basics, appreciate my customers, applaud and continuously train my staff. These are the things that small business owners love to do, but often get caught up in report and paperwork worry. Is there too much drama in some business owner's lives? Client retention takes the same effort and focus, maybe more, than having nightmares about those monthly reports.
Refresh your mind and your business. Read this--it's a good one.
