I learned to love reading at a very early age, thanks to many hours of being read to by my parents and grandparents. As far back as I can remember, libraries and bookstores have consumed much of my time and money.

Sign of the Anasazi by Mark Lieberman is an above average novel centered on a fascinating archeological mystery: what happened to the Anasazi? The Anasazi were a race of people that occupied parts of present-day New Mexico around 800 years ago and then disappeared with hardly a trace left behind. The protagonist, Dov Bar Lev, an FBI agent, is drawn into the mystery of the Anasazi when a friend’s two kids are kidnapped for a ransom of their grandfather. At the same time, strange attacks have been occurring on the other side of the globe; reports of attacks in which the weapon is a blinding white light which blinds those struck by it.
